seasonal similes

What we are learning: how to use similes to create a picture in the readers mind.

Spring looks like new life
Spring tastes like fresh air, damp with new scents.
Spring smells like damp grass.
Spring feels like cool air and warm sun.
Spring sounds like bees, birds chirping and baby animals calling for their mothers.

Summer looks like scorched grass, mirages and blazing sun.
Summer tastes like bbq’s, cold drinks and popsicles.
Summer smells like salt water,
Summer feels like the hot sun searing your skin
Summer sounds like children screaming with joy, waves crashing against the shore.

Autumn looks like dead leaves, a warm array of colours
Autumn tastes like hot tea
Autumn smells like the decay of plants
Autumn feels like warm jerseys
Autumn sounds like leaves crumbling under foot.

Winter looks like a grey, barran city devoid of life.
Winter tastes like hot soup for diner
Winter smells like dusty, inclosed rooms.
Winter feels like cold wind biting at your face

Winter sounds like wind howling.
